Our results oriented approach

Audit

We analyse thoroughly the needs and the concrete goals of your company. We design the training courses formula that perfectly meets your business requirements.

Level test

The participants take part at a level test to determine their initial level and to calibrate their proficiency. This test consists of a face to face conversation of 10 minutes and a written part.

We use the recognised European competence levels (CEFR).

Programma

The trainer and the educational lead set up the programme of the session and take account of the goals to be achieved and the contents of the programme. This way, the participant has a clear overview of the complete session. The participant is able to evaluate his progress and is conscious of the goals to be achieved.

Course & Practise

The active use of the target-language is central in our language courses. We ask the participants in the most natural way to present their work, to give and defend their opinion, to participate to a meeting, to make a presentation, etc.

The learning-process is based on the guided practical use of the language. The trainer introduces new elements. Step by step, the participant is encouraged to express himself in a more efficient and sophisticated way.

In order to reinforce the use of new words or grammar, the trainer introduces the quick question – answer method (drill).

In every lesson, the participants receive a practical document: a text, a video, a podcast, a brochure, a site etc, to address a new topic. These practical documents are up-to-date and relevant to the professional life and interests of the participant.

The trainee also receives a document covering the theoretical aspects of the current lesson containing a list of specific words, a grammatical summary, a series of useful phrases, etc.

Homework & self-study material

In order to support the learning process and to stimulate the use of the language, the trainer proposes a number of activities outside the lesson: exercises, texts to read, presentations, vocabulary etc. The progress of the participant partly depends on this homework.

Talk Forum also proposes e-learning tools. This way, the participants can use the new vocabulary online. The trainer informs them about online-videos, television and radio broadcasts which are most suited for their level.

Final evaluation

In the last lesson, the trainer organises an oral and written test to evaluate the progress of the participants and to see whether the goals were attained. Every participant receives a personal feedback together with a follow-up programme and Talk Forum provides a certificate showing the final level attained.

Follow-up

After the session, the participants are asked to complete an online evaluation form. Talk Forum and the HR department analyse together the results of this evaluation. We also advise our clients about the most appropriate way to extend the learning-process in the future.
